I've missed a week.
Where did it go?
Some paths are weird.
They can swallow a week.
Sometimes something
about the weirdness
is cool.
There are always some parts
that are cool.
It's supposed to be summer.
Man, I hope
that we don't miss
summer again this year.
One good thing is
that my gardens
aren't ready yet,
so my plants
aren't on fire.
: )
I have a dream
it's in my garden.
I'm calling for
my fairies and angels.
Will you come
for my dream?
Namaste, universe.

Ms. iN tHe PiNk

have a heart
In 1991 after returning
to the big rock
from NYC,
I began my own business
and started to design
"funky green clothing".
That was my business motto.
People didn't get it.
I was a little ahead of my time.
: 0 )
I made tags for my designs
out of torn paper bags
that I stamped
"funky green clothing".
One lady said at a craft fair
boy, you sure went all out
with these.
humf.
Now I'm thinkin'
I may revive
my
"funky green clothing"
line
and that people
will get it
this time.

Soon,

I hope to sell online.

These pics are of a purse I designed

and made

 from

a pair of black leather pants

and a pink curtain

(the wrong side

-the satin side-

of the fabric : ).

: )

It's for sale.

It's an original.

If you have been watch-

ing my blog

then you probably know

what this is a pic of.

A different view

of those lovely

pieces of concrete curb

soon to become

beautiful benches.

And they are sitting

beside my new square garden.

If you can find a way

to have

Faith

Love

Hope &

Charity

toward yourself

and to others

then you have

it made.

This is the view from the side of my house.
The side that is getting the new garden
with the concrete benches,
and the crazy patchwork patio.
; )
Also, the side of the house
with no windows.
I'm workin' on that!!
It's a gorgeous view.

Here is the infamous pile of broken concrete
where it was dumped
I plan to build garden beds
and benches with it.
: )

Here is the new pile
after it was sorted.
This took 4 hours of brain power
using simple machines
like ropes/pulleys/poles
a dolly
and manpower (literally).
yay!!

These are the pieces

slated to become benches.

You can see two of the many rollers,

on top of them,

that were used to move

these heavy babies..

This stuff looks pretty cool stacked.

On the loom
Off the loom
before steaming
After steaming...
wow, shrinking unevenly
before
my very eyes...

Interesting, weird,
unexpected,
but like other weirdness
it's a process
on a road to somewhere...

hOt sHeeT!

I found something like interfacing
on a roll for the kids
to build designs on
and we tried it today.
Here I have applied color to it
with crayons
and then ironed the wax off

Today we worked on hand stitching embroidery
Mine turned out to be a heart

This is on the fresh sheet today.
Yay, I got to post something
on the day I made it!!

nEw "bLoSSoM"

This is my New garden.
It is inspired by
the four square garden
my friend Deb has.
She found the design
in Harrowsmith magazine.I am going to name
the garden "Blossom"
because I started it
when the apple tree
in the centre
was in full bloom.

It looks like I may
have a LOT
of apples this year. : )

Here are some of the plants

waiting in pots

to go into

my new garden...

thank you

universe.

ReCyCLe

I recycle a lot! Sometimes it is a lot of work. I see it as kind of a trade-off... I work for money and I buy new stuff, or I spend my time recycling things that have already been bought, and re-use them. These containers are recycled salad "clam-shell" containers. I managed to get a grocery store to save them for me when the greens had past their expiration date. They are great containers. They stack well, and they are clear. I use them in my studio to store all my sewing and fibre art notions. I have them labelled and alphebetized.
Here are a bunch of the lids.
I take all the labels off and wash them before I put stuff in them.
It's a labor of love.
For the planet.

The kid's named their show
ART- Awesome Righteous Trevor
Trevor is the Fibre Arts class's
shape shifting mascot
I think the work in the show is great!
I'm really proud and honoured
to be facilitating
a space for their creativity
to happen.

I know this squirrel is out of focus
but he was pretty hard to capture...
I can feel that my heart is becoming free
once again
my health will return
my garden beckons me
and I reply with inspiration,
and hope
thank you universe.

SiNg YoUr HeArT oUt

This is the entrance to an old monastery
I'm guessing that some singing may have happened here
anyway, I like the shot
I've been singing
and I made my debut
along with 100+ other voices
at the Port Theatre recently
in a gospel/world music choir.
Quite the experience!
I will hold the good.
always try to hold the good
be an optimist
love all.
